I live in the USA and I have been to Simferopol twice. I think direct flights to Simferopol are very rare. I think your best bet will be to fly there from Kiev. The airplanes I have flown to Simferopol in were pretty small, holding about 25 to 30 people. Flying from Kiev to Simferopol would require a transfer from the Kiev international airport to the Kiev local airport. Hope that helps a little bit.
