: *I don't know, what did the eastern Ukrainians? Are they from hell, or something? Do you have any example about some people from western Ukraine who did something good and not just blah-blah-blah?

In the elections, western Ukrainians vote for someone more pro-Ukrianian, than eastern Ukrainians. Examples are: Chornovil vs. Kravchuk, Kravchuk (who changed his policies, after all he is called farbovanyj lys) vs. Kuchma, Kuchma (see above comment on Kravchuk) vs. Symonenko...

: * And now everybody can endjoy "lesser evil", everybody happy-happy!

Look, Ukraine didn't have anyone better to choose from anyways. None of the right-wing/centrist leaders were influencial enough to unite the numerous right parties around him. If the elections would happen this year - it would be Yuschenko, without a doubt.
As for lesser evils, look at Belarus, a new colony of Russia, and see what I mean.

: *I can remember, that in Kharkiv, for example, won Chernovil (in city), but peasans in eastern Ukraine just lost everything, including soul, because of communist terror and vodka, this not an issue to blame them, the issue is to help them, because to-day they afraid more of local Ukrainian rascals then of something else.

That's another issue, but IMHO you can't help them. Only the next generations will change.

: *Chornovil did not, but look in Lviv for new buildings of the people with official salarys about $50, probably they got money from alchemy or something, some of them suppose to struggle with corruption, anyway.

That doesn't only happen in Lviv and I don't think that a lot RUKH members are in the government. Of course, RUKH today is just a group of people that were together at the beginning but went in different directions...

: *Thus even geographically understanding of Ukraine inside of Canada a little bit blown out of proportion? I tryed search engines in some Canadian newspapers (online) about "Ukraine"... just try it youself.

Well, what are you going to do, Canadian newspapers don't write a lot about Ukraine, just like they don't write a lot about Portugal, Belgium, Austria or Croatia. How much do Ukrainian newspapers write about Canada, or any major newspaper in the world?

: *What they always do with people, they changed Ukraine in torture instrument for something like 50% of population (this is already not good to see), and if they want to put you in jail for something? I don't want even think about it! Go to www.kudin.org to see for yourself.

I read it a long time ago, at least first few chapters. That may very well be true, but I think the author is overly pessimistic. Things like these happen, but it's an exception rather than the rule, IMHO. Anyways, if you have Canadian/American citizenship, you automatically lose Ukrainian citizenship, so what can they do to a foreign citizen? Just a sight of Canadian advocate will scare them off.
